About Ouijakatz Cattery
Ouijakatz Cattery is co-owned by Barbara Midura and her daughter, Brandy. We are based just north of Houston in Spring, TX and have been showing cats since 1996. Our first Norwegian Forest Cat came from Donna Sacerdote of Regnbuekats in 1998. This brown mackerel tabby and white boy, RW SGCA, GP Regnbuekats Autumn Sunset, more commonly known as "Sunny," stole our hearts with his thick coat, huge green eyes, and extremely loving personality. He also did very well in the show ring, obtaining the highest titles in CFA and TICA and several regional and international honors, including 7th Best Alter in TICA's South Central Region and 3rd Best International Norwegian Forest Cat Alter in TICA during the 1999 show season. Before long, we were addicted to these lovely cats, and we turned to Donna for our first breeder girl, a brown mackerel torbie and white named CH Regnbuekats Kaeli of Ouijakatz. Since then, we have been actively showing, breeding, and promoting "Wegies." Our goal is to produce loving, sweet-tempered, and healthy cats who are gorgeous as well.
Barbara has held several leadership positions within the Norwegian Forest Cat Fancier's Association (NFCFA), and is currently a member of the Norwegian Forest cat breed committees in both CFA and TICA. She is also a travel agent with America's Travel Companies, antique dealer at Antiqueland USA in Spring, TX, and one-half of a real estate inspection company, Inspection Dimension, Inc., along with her husband, Don Midura.
